Chromium molybdenum alloy steel
SCM420 is a low carbon alloy structural steel suitable for carburizing heat treatment. After carburizing, the surface hardness of the steel is improved, so that the wear resistance is improved, but the center part still retains toughness and is more resistant to impact and load. It is often used in a variety of special wear and load workpieces such as motor shaft, spindle, mechanical parts, pistons and gears.
